Within a framework of national event “25 star days” dedicated to Independence foundation Cossack culture festival “Cossack day” took place in the regional Assembly of Nations of Kazakhstan.

It is the second time when the festival took place and was dedicated to anniversary and memorable dates of the 2016 year: there are 25^th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 80^th anniversary of North Kazakhstan region formation and 6^th anniversary of “Brotherhood of Siberian Cossacks” social organization formation

Cossacks families, their children, veterans, citizens and guests of the city were invited to this festival. Holiday spirit of the festival visitors was created by fair of Applied and Decorative Arts, where there were represented fancyworks made by cross-stitch, damask stitch and tape points, (author Nadezhda Rudnikova), knitting, (authors N. Yarovaya, A. Motur, V. Berendeeva), shirts and skirts made in the patchwork technique and crafts.

The head of the Secretariat of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan of South Kazakhstan Region Salimov Nail Kamilevich addressed himself to the participants of the festival with words of welcome and congratulations. He congratulated everyone on the 25^th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan; he said that the festival took place in the "25 star days", the day that symbolizing "Family values".

On behalf of the Region Akim Yerik Sultanov he presented Certificate of Merit for contribution to strengthening of friendship and interethnic accord to the Chairman of "Brotherhood of the Siberian Cossacks" NGO Taranov Victor Alexandrovich.

The Region Ataman Taranov Viktor Alexandrovich in his speech again emphasized the importance of jubilee days and the festival of Cossack culture "Day of Cossack Woman", wished everyone happiness and prosperity for families and children, love of family.

The Chairman of the Council of Elders Weber Gennady Ivanovich congratulated Cossack women and called Cossacks to love their wives and children, protect their home, and the elder Cossacks would help them maintain the customs and traditions of Cossacks.

The Chairman of the South Kazakhstan Branch of "Russian Community of Kazakhstan" Avdeyev Nikolai Alexandrovich and the Member of the APK Mothers Council Rodnaya Tamara Yuriyevna congratulated everyone on the 25th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, expressed confidence that the family, family values were the most important thing in everyone's life. As Rodnaya Tamara Yuriyevna said: "We are ready for any deeds for the family, we find happiness, peace, and harmony in the family and only family gives us the strength to live and work".

The Festival of Cossack culture lasted within two hours. After all, the concert was attended by groups and performers well-known in the city.

The audience admired the play of Russian Folk Orchestra (artistic director S.P. Zelepukhin), lively songs and dances of the exemplary vocal choreographic ensemble “Zvonnitsa” - Nasledie" (artistic director V.M. Ivashkin, choreographer T.S. Utezhanova), and lyrical songs of the Folk Choir “Zvonnitsa” (artistic director V.I. Podolyan, accompanist S.F. Snurnitsyn).

Sergey Smetankin impressed with his poems and art song dedicated to the woman, stormy and prolonged applause called song the "The Soul of the Cossack", which was performed by Anton Gutorov, whose talent was reinforced by flanking of Oksana Kosinova.

As always Weber Gennady Ivanovich performed a tap dance as an "encore", and he is still 77 years old. Levlyuh Kapitalina Fedorovna sang ditties brioso and provocatively, famously playing along on harmonica. In mid-December, she is all but 70 years old.

The performer of the Regional Russian Drama Theater named after N. Pogodin, Nargelenas Anatoly Vladimirovich impressed the public with a beautiful reading. He read the famous poem of Galina Shergova "The girl was walking home from school". Rudikova Nadezhda Filippovna presented to the audience an excerpt from the poem of I. Shuhov "I love and remember"; "Nocturne" of Arno Babajanyan was masterfully performed by Artem Kisloschey.

The dance composition at the famous song by V. Tolkunova "Talk to me, my mother!" was performed very gently and touching (artistic director Alina Ushakova). As I.P. Shuhov said "..as a bright spark of simple-hearted gladness" the Russian folk song "Nightingale sang away from" was performed by Irina Lapina, who won all hearts with her professional singing.

In the powerful final chords the song “I Love You, Motherland!” was performed by the "Zvonnitsa" Folk Choir.
