"Mediation as a tool for reconciliation in school"

In the conference hall of the Friendship House of the city of Uralsk, within the framework of the memorandum signed between the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and the Education Department of the West Kazakhstan region, a seminar was held on the topic: "Mediation as a tool for reconciliation in the school"

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the APK WKR Gaisa Kapakov, representatives of educational institutions of the city of Uralsk, deputy directors of schools for educational work, social teachers, professional mediators, representatives of the juvenile court and others.

Gaisa Hamedullovich in his opening speech spoke about the need for mediation in all spheres of activity as a technology for resolving conflict situations, and schools in particular need mediation. Mediation for schools is necessary not only for the prevention and correction of schoolchildren's behavior, but also for the formation of tolerance in the modern educational space. The topic of mastering a new model of building tolerant attitudes in school through the use of school mediation is very relevant for the country as a whole.

Then they made presentations on the topics: "Application of the Institute of Mediation in the School", the professional mediator of KGU "Kogamdyk kelіsim" of the apparatus of the Akim of WKR - Prudentsano Mira Amangeldievna, "The practice of settling the dispute mediatively in a juvenile court" representative of the inter-district court for the affairs of minors WKR - Demeuov Ruslan Ryskalievich, director of the institute of legal relations of KazUIiTS is a professional mediator - Chingaeva Bakhyt Kenesarovna.

Then there was a discussion of the parties, representatives of the city schools became interested in the idea and positively posed the issue of opening mediation cabinets in schools.
