November 25, 2017 in the House of Friendship of Almaty held a meeting of the asset of the Republican Ethnocultural Center of Uighurs of Kazakhstan.

During the event, the speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the PA "Republican Ethnocultural Center of Uighurs of Kazakhstan" Nurumova Sh.U.

In addition, in accordance with the agenda, issues related to the preparations for the celebrations dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the first issue of the newspaper in the Uighur language were discussed in Kazakhstan, as well as the creation of an organizing committee for holding commemorative events on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the events that had a place in Semirechye ("ATU") and the creation of a commission to develop proposals for the translation of the Uyghur alphabet into Latin alphabet.

After the discussion of the center's work plans, such guests and activists as Sagymbai Kabashevich Kozybaev, Azat Akimbek, Sharip Shamshidinov Rahmedinov, Arzugul Akhmetovna Ushurova, Bostan Gaziyeva, Yunus Arshidinov, Erzin Munir, Inamzhan Mashrapovich Khudaiberdiyev were awarded with medals "Sahavat" for their contribution to the development and strengthening of friendship, mutual understanding and interethnic harmony in society.
