Meeting of the Deputy Chairman of the ANC D. Mynbay with the Director of the Representative Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in the Republic of Kazakhstan T. Helm

On August 22, 2017, Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Darhan Mynbay met with the Director of the Representative Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in the Republic of Kazakhstan T. Helm.

At the meeting of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, the director of the republican state institution "Kokamdi Kelisim" under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.Tarakov, the coordinator for the projects of the representation of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in the Republic of Kazakhstan N.Adambaev, etc. took part.

During the meeting, D.Mynbay acquainted representatives of the foundation with the history of creation, constitutional status, tasks and work of the ANC to strengthen public harmony and national unity.

The Vice-Chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan stressed the deeply confidential and open nature of relations between the countries, the constant direct contacts of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.Nazarbayev and Federal Chancellor A.Merkel.

"Germany is one of the important and key partners of Kazakhstan. Dialogue between our countries has always been distinguished by a trusting and open character. Permanent direct contacts between the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.Nazarbayev and the Federal Chancellor A.Merkel on the urgent issues is a confirmation. The official visit of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Astana in July 2017 once again confirms the decisive spirit of our countries to further deepen the strategic partnership. During 25 years of establishing diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Germany, we managed to build a trustful and active political dialogue. It is necessary to support this dynamic, and, in our opinion, cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Fund will contribute to this, "D. Mynbay said.

The representatives of the foundation stressed the positive experience of Kazakhstan and the important role of the Assembly in preserving interethnic stability and strengthening of public accord, in ensuring the rights of all ethnic groups living in the republic.

Thomas Helm noted Kazakhstan's undeniable leadership in the harmonization of inter-ethnic relations, strengthening of unity and intercultural dialogue, which is an example for many countries.
