Today in Astana, at the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov, a meeting of the Republican Association of the Chairs of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan was held, dedicated to the discussion of the book of the Head of State "Era of Independence".

The event was attended by Deputy Chairman – head of Secretariat of the APK Darkhan Minbaiy, the Council members of the APK, foreign experts, representatives of Scientific-expert Council of the APK, state bodies and ethno-cultural associations, scientists, public figures, teachers, students, and media representatives.

The discussion was moderated by the Chairman of the Association, member of the Board of the APK, Ph. D., Professor – A. Bashmakov.

During the event discussed the role of the First President of RK N.A. Nazarbayev for the recent history of the country and its future, the main stages of construction of a sovereign state, questions of modernization, is considered the essence of the "Kazakh model" of public consent and national unity, as well as tasks of the departments of the APK in the context of the book "Era of independence" and the Message of the President to people of Kazakhstan.

In his opening speech Darkhan Minbaiy noted that the special significance of the book is that the author is the person whose name is linked to age of acquisition and formation of Kazakhstan's independence. And added that the author's view on recent history allows to understand the background and motives taken crucial decisions, recognize the importance of striking historical events in the life of the country.

The Deputy Chairman drew attention to the fact that all the achievements and successes of the Head of state communicates with its strict adherence to three basic principles of the domestic policy of peace, reconciliation and consolidation.

Also at the meeting head of the Department of Assembly of people of Kazakhstan Kyzylorda state University Nurlybek Minzhas expressed his opinion about what "words of edification" Abay's the book of the President "Era of independence" should be included in the curriculum for higher education institutions. The scientist noted that in the book the President gives a historical assessment of the development of the state over a quarter of a century, with critical positions of the estimated human capital. This book shows the basic spiritual Foundation of life of all Kazakhstani people, the main paradigms and values of socio-economic development, cultural modernization.
