Meeting with the mayor of Ufa

On July 14, a meeting of activists of the Bashkir ethnocultural association Akbuzat with the head of the city of Ufa Yalalov II took place.

Interest in this meeting was mutual, as "Akbuzat" as an independent ethno-cultural association was formed quite recently, and there are a lot of organizational issues at the moment. Delegations of Bashkortostan are also interested in living conditions and preserving the identity of the Bashkir ethnos in Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation between Kazakhstan's Bashkirs and their historical homeland were discussed. The Mayor of Ufa willingly agreed to support the young ethno-cultural association, promising in the near future to donate "Akbuzat" national costumes.

In Kazakhstan, there are more than 1,700 Bashkirs, about 1,000 Bashkirs live in Astana. "Akbuzat" is the second Bashkir cultural center in Kazakhstan. The first successfully works in the city of Aktau. This ethnos is mainly represented in the Tatar-Bashkir cultural centers.
