May 29, 2017 in the regional House of Friendship a roundtable on the theme "Memory in the name of the future" dedicated to the 80-th anniversary of mass political repression took place.

Organizers: KSU "State Archive of Taldykorgan" of the state institution "Department of Culture, archives and documentation of Almaty region" and the House of Friendship - Center for Public Accord.

Participants of the round table were: Representatives of the intelligentsia, historians, cultural figures, artists, archivists, historians, media representatives.

The moderator of the round table was the director of the House of Friendship - Center for Public Consent, T. Kasymberkebaev.
