Memory of repressed compatriots was honored

Good tradition of teachers and pupils of the Polish branch of the National Revival School of K.B.Darzhumana, was a visit to the graves of Poles on Suvorov and Pahomovsky cemeteries, on the eve of All Souls' Day, which Catholics around the world celebrate 1 November. On this day honor the memory of the deceased, light the lampades on their graves, lay chrysanthemums.

The guys, together with the youth and adults, headed by the teacher of the Polish language M. Droong went to the burial places. The graves, the monument to the victims of political repressions, as well as a monument erected in memory of pupils of Pavlodar Children's Home No. 1, where the children of repressed Poles were kept, were put in order for the tools.

Very often, requests come from Poland, from relatives whose ancestors have always remained in Pavlodar land, so that they do not disregard the places of their burial. Using the archive materials and memories of the descendants of the once deported Poles from Byelorussia, Ukraine, Maria Drogn told about the tragic fate of some of them. Making the order on the graves, laying flowers, lighting the funeral candles, listening to the stories, people who lived for many years in exile, the guys, as if leafing through the tragic pages of the history of their people, worthy of paying tribute to the memory of fellow countrymen, for whom Kazakhstan forever became the second Homeland.
