August 24 at the Mangistau Regional Theater named after N. Zhantorin, the opening of the First International Theater Festival of the Caspian countries was held.

This event is dedicated to the anniversary of Asanali Ashimov - a great actor and director, known far beyond the borders of the republic.

This is another step towards strengthening cooperation in the field of theatrical art, strengthening cultural and spiritual ties, developing joint creative projects of the member countries of TURKSOY.

Residents and guests of Aktau within the framework of the festival will be able to get acquainted with the theatrical collectives of Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.

At the opening ceremony akim of the region Eraly Tugzhanov personally congratulated the legendary man on his anniversary.

Friends, colleagues, actors of the theater, representatives of ethnocultural associations, art historians, art followers Asanali Ashimov and residents of Aktau attended the event.

The participants of the cultural event also had the opportunity to enjoy an exhibition dedicated to the life and work of the great Asanali Ashimov.
