On 13 December 2016 a presentation of Tarakov A.Yu., a publicist, member of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan, book "Kazakhstan's character", dedicated to the 25^th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was held at the National Academic Library of RK under the auspices of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by deputies of the Majilis, the members of the Scientific Expert Council of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, the Club of Chief Editors, Journalists' Club of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, public figures, scientific and creative intelligentsia, representatives of the media, as well as heroes of essays works.

"This book is not written specifically, it has been forming and evolving over the years, - said the author. - So it describes this period of our independence. Maybe I was lucky, but every time I meet with the heroes of this book, I could only fix their progress. Some of them the book failed to cover. In general, Kazakhstani have strong characters, because most people, about whom I wrote, had a normal life, they only moved forward and achieved new heights".
