It is known that according to the Concept of Local Self-Government Development in our country, at the first stage the potential of the current system at the lower levels of government was expanded. And now our state is at the second stage - the stage of further development. If some localities actively practice such innovations as the participation of villagers in monitoring the use of budget funds, opening special accounts in the treasury bodies, transferring a part of the district communal property to akims of the villages, others are far from it. To determine at what level the local government in Zhambyl oblast is located and to teach the inhabitants the principles and the mechanism for implementing this sphere, a seminar was held on September 6, 2017 in the building of the House of Friendship. The organizer was the public association Zhambyl regional Jewish cultural center "Shivat Zion". The event was attended by the Council of Mothers, the Council of Public Consent, representatives of ethno-cultural associations, representatives of executive bodies and the media, as well as the youth of the city.

Lyudmila Kornilina, the chairman of the regional Jewish cultural center "Shivat Zion", opened the event with the words: "Today's seminar is held within the framework of the project" Carrying out a set of measures for the development of local self-government "and we are very glad to welcome you here. I would like to note that the role of local government can not be underestimated. With the help of gatherings and meetings, citizens are able to exert a significant influence on the decision of the authorities. During the seminar "Principles and Mechanisms for Implementing Local Self-Government", the lawyer, master of law sciences Askar Kadyrkulov delivered a report on "Basic concepts and legal aspects of local self-government in the RK". Then the participants of the seminar listened to the speech of Saule Kurmanbekova, the head of the methodology department and monitoring in the sphere of interethnic relations of KSU "Kokamdyk kelisim" of the apparatus of Akim of Zhambyl region Saule Kurmanbekova about problems of local self-government in our region.

The theme of local self-government is always topical. And so the seminar participants asked questions to the speakers and exchanged views.
