August 4 in the House of Friendship held a regional forum of mediators on "The state and prospects for the development of the institute of mediation." It was attended by members of ethno-cultural associations, the Council of Public Accord under the ANC of the Zhambyl region, the judges of the regional court, representatives of public associations, the prosecutor's office, the region's Department of Internal Affairs, justice, advocacy, local executive bodies of the Nur Otan Party, the regional branch of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, the Cabinet and Council of mediators in the ANC region and the media.

The main purpose of this forum is to discuss the status and development of the institution of mediation, the main mechanisms of interaction of the ANC mediation structures with state bodies, civil society institutions.

In her speech, Valentina Dosybiyeva, the head of the cabinet of mediation of KSU "Kokhmady kelіsim", spoke in detail about the work of the local cabinet of mediation: "The leader of the nation Nursultan Nazarbayev noted at the 25th session that the development of the institute of mediation is one of the priorities of the ANC. In our region, at KSU "Kokamdyk kelisim" of the apparatus of akim of Zhambyl region, on February 4, 2016, a cabinet of mediation was opened, a public reception office was open, where the population could handle problematic issues. Twelve rooms (where 48 mediators work) were opened in the courts, oblast, city and district akims' offices and the members of the Council were on duty to conduct mediational consultations for the population.

As of August 1, 2017, 362 citizens applied to mediation offices. Mediators of the ANK region were allowed 300 conflicts and disputed situations. I want to note that there was not one single appeal from citizens related to mediation over ethnic differences and conflicts. "

Zhanar Usipbekova, head of the mediation section of the Republican state institution under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhanar Usipbekova, spoke on the status and prospects of the development of the mediation institute in Kazakhstan in the regional forum of mediators on the topic "Status and perspectives of the development of the mediation institute". A coordinator of the regional court Dinara Nurlybayeva devoted her speech to the topic of implementing a pilot project on the introduction of mandatory pre-trial dispute management in mediation in the region. Also the head of the justice department of Taraz Gulnar Kushekova told about effective measures of applying the legislation in resolving disputable issues.

At the end of the forum the participants were recommended to consider the issue of establishing a mediation department in the KSU "Kokamdyk kelіsim" structure with the purpose of efficient development of the mediation institute in the region and submit it to the ANC Secretariat in Zhambyl oblast until September 1, 2017; To intensify the work with the regional court, the regional prosecutor's office, the regional department of internal affairs, the departments of internal policy, religions and civil society of the Akim of Zhambyl oblast, the regional department of education, public health, the unions of lawyers, judges, notaries, universities, mediation centers, ethno-cultural associations, public mediators Zhambyl region on the advantages of mediation in certain categories of civil cases, as well as criminal cases in the region on an ongoing basis; It is necessary to carry out outreach activities in the regions of the region on the development of mediation, with open days of mediation, consultations, and speeches in the media on an ongoing basis; Conduct seminars-trainings, master classes on mediation for citizens of the country; To provide in the budget of the KSU "Kokamdyk kelіsim" of the apparatus of akim of the Zhambyl region funds for upgrading the qualifications of the ANC mediators of the region.

At the end of the regional forum of mediators, Zhanar Usipbekova, the head of the mediation sector of the RSU "Қоғамдық келісім", held a training seminar for mediators with the aim of improving the work of the cabinet of mediation in the Zhambyl region.
