Today, within the framework of the Unified Republican Day of the People's Discussion of the Introduction of the Uniform Standard of the Alphabet of the State Language on the Latin Graph, an extended meeting of the Scientific Expert Group of the Assembly of the Kazakhstan People of Astana took place in conjunction with the members of the Councils of Public Accord and the Council of Mothers.

Representatives of the ANC of Astana support the initiative on the transition of the alphabet of the state language to the Latin schedule. The main purpose of the expanded meeting of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan in Astana was to discuss the issue of a phased transition of the state language to the Latin schedule.

The meeting was attended by representatives of state bodies, ethno-cultural associations, members of the Scientific and Expert Group, the Council of Public Accord, the Council of Mothers of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in Astana, linguists, linguists, historians, Turkologists and other specialized experts.

"Kazakh Latin turned out to be more perfect due to the fact that in preparing the alphabet, the problematic issues that other countries faced during the transition to the Latin alphabet were taken into account. The foreign experience, the features of the introduction and application of Latin graphics in the Soviet period, the experience of introducing the Latin alphabet in the Turkic states: Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan were taken into account, "said the doctor of historical sciences, the president of the Union of Azerbaijani Cultural Centers of Kazakhstan, the chairman of the Scientific and Expert Group of the Assembly people of Kazakhstan in the city of Astana V.K. Salakhov.

The head of state in his program article "Looking into the Future: Modernizing Public Consciousness" identified a phased transition of the Kazakh language to the Latin alphabet as one of the key priorities.

Aliev O. Zh., Professor of the Department of Economics of the University "Turan-Astana", member of the Scientific and Expert Group of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in Astana noted the tasks of a phased transition to the Latin schedule.

During the extended meeting, the participants actively discussed the draft of the Unified Standard of the New Alphabet, prepared by a working group under the National Commission for the Modernization of Public Consciousness. During the dialogue, the participants came to the opinion of the need for a systematic and gradual transition of the state language to the Latin schedule, as well as the need for further explanatory work. Representatives of the ANC of Astana called for further discussion of all citizens of our country.
