In 2017, the Mediation Center of the North Kazakhstan Regional Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, one of the most important areas of its activities in the region, determines the development of mediation in the education system, in particular, the development and implementation of projects for school mediation.

In this regard, on the 19-th of May, 2017, an excursion seminar "Fundamentals of School Mediation" was held on the basis of KSU Secondary School No. 9 in Petropavlovsk.

At the beginning of the seminar, Gulbakhsha Musabaeva, a professional mediator of KSU "Public contracts", outlined the purpose and objectives of the seminar:

- Discussion of the theory and practice of mediation;

- Combining the efforts of psychologists, sociologists, teachers and students in the development of the school reconciliation service;

- The formation of a school reconciliation service on the basis of a secondary school on the basis of KSU Secondary school No. 9.

This school has about 1,200 students. Participants of the seminar were 35 students of the 8-th and 9-th grades, as well as psychologists Popova Tatiana Vladimirovna and Mironyak Tatyana Azatovna, Albina Azatovna, social pedagogue Vilkova Olga Petrovna took part in it.

Tatyana Popova introduced schoolchildren to the basics of school mediation, and Musabayeva G.N. with the activity of the cabinet of mediation under the North Kazakhstan regional assembly of the people of Kazakhstan. Great interest was caused by watching the film about the school reconciliation service. This film is often used in its work by a psychologist who is the holder of a professional mediator's certificate and will lead the work of the school reconciliation service in the new school year.

Gulbakhsha Musabaeva told the participants about the activities of the Mediation Center in the North Caucasus region of the ANC and showed a video about the Republican action "Day of Mediation" on the 5-th of August, 2017, on the basis of the Mediation Center.

To determine the directions of cooperation with schoolchildren, a questionnaire was proposed in which the students reflected their opinions on the development of school mediation and outlined the problems that worried them.

In the new school year, on the basis of the secondary school No. 9 in Petropavlovsk together with its director Bulatbekova Saule Kabievna, we plan to hold major events to promote school mediation in the region. We hope that the beginning of our cooperation will help improve the psychological environment in which there are both schoolchildren and teachers. Those children are more drawn to creative communication and development. And as Musabayeva G.G. says: "Our cooperation with schools will give good results for the development of unity, peace and harmony in the region."
