December 8, 2017 in the House of Friendship of Almaty Republican scientific and practical conference on the theme "Social and political aspects of the implementation of the translation of Kazakh graphics into the Latin alphabet" was organized by the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies KN MES RK in conjunction with the APK Scientific-Expert Group Almaty with the assistance of the Service providing the activities of the Republican House of Friendship in Almaty.

The conference was attended by famous Kazakh scientists, experts in the field of history and historiography, ethno-cultural policy and inter-ethnic relations. Famous scientific specialists - linguists, philosophers, political scientists, sociologists, public figures, journalists, representatives of city and republican ethno-cultural associations, members of the National Scientific Advisory Council of the APK and the Scientific Expert Group of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in Almaty were invited.

The reform of the Kazakh alphabet is conditioned by historical prerequisites and is aimed at integration into the world technological and communication space. And also this issue is of great importance for the spiritual revival and strengthening of the national-Kazakhstan national identity in the context of modernization of the public consciousness of the people of Kazakhstan. Thus, "this modernization of the socio-economic and spiritual life should become a consolidator of the people of Kazakhstan," as the President noted in his message Strategy "Kazakhstan-2050": the new political course of the state held" on December 14, 2012.

Within the framework of the conference, the participants analyzed the socio-cultural, political and methodological aspects of the implementation of the assignment of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Leader of the Nation, N.A. Nazarbayev translation of the graphics of the state language into Latin script. Also, during the conference, topical issues of implementation of the upcoming reform of the Kazakh alphabet within the framework of the set tasks of the Nation Plan "100 concrete steps to implement the five institutional reforms", on the formation of the Nation of a single future and the program provisions of the article "Bolashakka bagdar: ruhani zhangiru", development of scientific and practical recommendations on the formation of a common Kazakhstan identity and strengthening the unity and harmony of the ethnic groups of Kazakhstan.
