October 28, 2017 on sight "Komektes" Disabled Foundation with the support of the KGU "Kogamdyk kelіsіm" Almaty city akim held a qualifying round of the contest of Kazakh song "Menin elim" among visually impaired people of different nationalities in Almaty and Almaty region. Participation in the qualifying round of the competition took the disabled first and second group of 12 people of 5 nationalities.

Qualifying round was held as part of the fifth anniversary of the contest Kazakh songs in the Kazakh language "Menin elim" among visually impaired people of different nationalities. The competition will be held on November 25, 2017 under the auspices of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and in accordance with the article of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev "A look into the future: modernization of public consciousness". The organizers of the competition are disabled Fund on sight "Komektes" together with the Republican library for blind and visually impaired citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The contest will be one of the events in the cultural life of Almaty, dedicated to the 26th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
