On August 28 and 29, a seminar-training on the topic "Professional Standards for Covering Interethnic and Interdenominational Relations" was held in the House of Friendship of Almaty with the participation of representatives of ethno-SAM and ethno-cultural associations.

The event was held by the Republican Public Association "Counter-Terrorism Committee" within the framework of the state social order of the Department of Religious Affairs of Almaty "Organization and conduct of information and training trainings for representatives of the media and bloggers on issues of religion, prevention of religious extremism and terrorism."

Training for the participants was conducted by: Abuov Aidar Parkulovich - Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Director of the International Center for Cultures and Religions of the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Civil Society of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Astana) and Denisenko Yulia Olegeevna - Journalist, Master of Social Sciences in specialty "Religious Studies", member of the Council for Relations with Religious Associations under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Public Council of the Ministry for Religious Affairs and Civil Society, director of ULA "A sociation research centers religions. "

The main goal of the training workshop is to train the ways of interaction between government bodies and the media in the detection of the problem of countering extremism and terrorism, highlighting religious topics and inter-confessional accord, as well as examining the forms and methods of communicating information to citizens through the media.

After the training, recommendations for journalists were given and certificates were handed to participants.
