December 21, 2017 solemn presentation of annual grants of the oblast akim to heads of ethno-cultural associations on the results of activities was held. The event was attended by workers of the oblast akimat, members of the ANC, the secretariat of the APK region, KGU "Kogamdyk kelisim" and representatives of ethno-cultural associations of the region and the media.

The solemn event was opened by akim of the region, chairman of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan Zhambyl region K.Kokrekbaev: "This year was the beginning of a new era - the start of the third modernization, creating a new model of economic growth of Kazakhstan. New reforms have formed national tasks that need to be resolved together.

Modernization of public consciousness is natural, objectively necessary and gives integrity to the whole development strategy of Kazakhstan.

It was especially honorable for the members of the Assembly that the President at the XXV (twenty-fifth) session announced his programmatic article. Therefore, in implementing this program, it is necessary to use the full potential of the regional assembly", noted the akim and thanked all participating leaders of ethno-cultural associations for their work.

For significant contribution to the preservation and development of spiritual culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan People's Assembly of the gold medal of Kazakhstan "Birlik" awarded Tolepbergen Meyrambek Myltykbayevich member of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan and Mukhametzhanova Gulhanum head of the Azerbaijani Cultural Center "Nasimi" Shu District.

The "Birlik" medal is the highest sign of public recognition and encouragement of Kazakhstani and foreign citizens, organizations and enterprises, regardless of the form of ownership, civil society institutions for services in strengthening unity and stability, social and economic and social development of Kazakhstan.

According to the established long-term tradition during the results of the year for active participation in the public life of the region, the leaders contributed to the development and strengthening of interethnic harmony, education of Kazakhstan's patriotism with letters of thanks and traditional monetary grants from the akim of the Zhambyl region.

The grants are aimed at studying state and native languages, sewing new national costumes, purchasing national musical instruments, as well as organizing events.
