"Be always healthy!" With this motto, the regional Games of the Games of the people of Kazakhstan among ethno-cultural associations (ECO) took place last Sunday at the Taraz-Arena sports complex. This sporting event can be called a tradition, in fact the assembly of the people of Kazakhstan in the region together with the department of physical culture and sports of the Akimat of Zhambyl region spend it every year.

Regional Spartakiad among ECO is held in accordance with the plan for the implementation of the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is also aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles and playing sports among all ethno-cultural associations. And the organizers are sure that such events contribute to the creation and strengthening of friendly relations among the ethnic groups living in the Zhambyl region.

Spartakiada included competitions in four kinds of sports: tug-of-war, chess, table tennis and relay race. Six teams from the German society, Korean Koreans, Dnepro cultural center, Manas ata Kyrgyz ECO, Uzbek IVF and Kurgan regional association Barbang fought for the championship.

As a result of several fascinating hours of struggle in the team event, the first place was won by the Ukrainian "Dnipro". Representatives of the Uzbek ethnos turned out to be the second, and the top three Kore Koreans were crowned. Distinguished athletes in individual sports were also awarded diplomas and valuable prizes.
