Last weekend in the village of Aktogay an event was held dedicated to two events - the 110th anniversary of the resettlement of Bulgarians to Kazakhstan and the 15th anniversary of the formation of the regional Bulgarian ethno-cultural association "Slavians".

In the early 20th century during the Stolypin reforms the Bulgarians from South Bessarabia and Ukraine were resettled to the East. So they ended up in Kazakhstan, where they got accustomed.
Activities in the village of Aktogay began with a meeting near the stele, opened 10 years ago, in memory of the 100th anniversary of the resettlement of Bulgarians to the Kazakh land, where the ceremony of laying flowers was held.

Akim of Aktogay district Akim Akibay Қoyshybaiuly noted in his speech that the unity and solidarity of the people are the solid foundation of all our achievements and victories. "Quickly accustomed to the new harsh conditions, the Bulgarians, with their inherent diligence, began to grow new lands. Transferring the difficult time of the 30s of the last century, when there was a famine and repression. From the first days of the Great Patriotic War, along with all the peoples of the Soviet Union, the Bulgarians also forged their victory, "he said. He also paid tribute to the well-known political scientist, poet, deputy chairman of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, true patriot Oleg Grigorievich Dymov, who made a great contribution to strengthening the friendship of the people of Kazakhstan.
The first Bulgarian immigrants arrived in the territory of the present Pavlodar region in 1907-1908, giving life to the new villages Razumovka and Andriyanovka. According to statistics, in our region today lives more than 1000 Bulgarians.
Among the Bulgarians there are many wonderful teachers, builders, doctors, leaders, businessmen and politicians. They gave all their strength, knowledge, skills for the prosperity of the new independent Kazakhstan.
The Pavlodar region is well known and remembered kindly by labor and family dynasties: the Komarov brothers; The Dymov brothers; Fuchigi, Tetikli, Draganov, Serov, Eggplant, Falcon, Witkov, Mihov, Stoyanov, Kisenko, Todorov, Galyurov, Stanchelov, Yusimbeli and many others who worked in all spheres of production, achieved high results of their work. Unfortunately, among the above-mentioned representatives of the Bulgarian ethnos, unfortunately, there is no one among us. But the bright trace left by them on this earth will be the best monuments to their selfless service to Kazakhstan.
A great desire to return to their historical roots, to revive the national culture, language and folk traditions contributed to the creation in 2002 of a Bulgarian ethno-cultural association in Pavlodar Priirtyshye. Having united, the members of the cultural center set themselves the main tasks - strengthening peace and harmony in the region, educating young people to love their native land, learning the language, reviving the cultural customs and traditions of the Bulgarian people, and involving children and youth in their spiritual origins.
With the assistance of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, the Bulgarians are given a unique opportunity to study and revive their traditions, customs and language. Since 2002, since the foundation of the center, teachers from Bulgaria have been working at the National Revival School, which are making great efforts to ensure that the younger generation knew and was proud of their identity.
Today the public association "Regional Bulgarian National Cultural Center" Slavians ", chaired by Shatova Valentina Nikolaevna, is in the region the center of familiarizing with the Bulgarian national culture, the native language, the history of its ethnos.
Here, the customs and traditions of their people are honored and interaction with the cultures of other ethnic groups living in Pavlodar Priirtyshye occurs. Creative collectives have been created and are acting, which are laureates and prizewinners of festivals of culture and art of the people of Kazakhstan, exhibitions of folk art.
At the National Renaissance School named after Kanat Darjuman, the Bulgarian branch works, where young people and children, with the help of a Bulgarian teacher, study the Bulgarian language, get acquainted with the culture and literature of the historical homeland.
In the center there are choreographic and vocal groups, the council of elders, the youth wing, the Rodna Stryakha club. Jointly held as public holidays in Kazakhstan and traditional Bulgarian folk festivals: "Baba Marta", "Lazarica", "Yenev day" and many others.
Kazakhstan and Bulgaria have been friends for many years. The center has close relations with the Bulgarian Embassy in Kazakhstan, with the University of Tarnovo. Annually, the school graduates, when enrolled in Bulgarian universities show good knowledge of the Bulgarian language, history, after continuing education in the universities of Sofia, Ruse, Varna, Blagoevgrad.

A mass of emotions was presented by a dramatization about the relocation of the Bulgarians to Kazakhstan. The concert program included colorful performances of ensembles "Rosna Kidka", "Byala Rose", and "Lazarki" of the regional Bulgarian ECO "Slavians" and collectives of Andriyanovka village, Razumovsky rural district (Aktogay village) and pupils of the National Revival School named after K.
