On the 24-th of May, 2017, at the airport in the city of Atyrau in a solemn atmosphere met the silver medalist of the European champion in Kyokushinkai-kan karate, the chairman of the ANC youth wing Andrei Kotov, who returned from France.

Gulmira Shakirova, secretary of the ANC of the Atyrau region, representatives of the ANC youth wing, KGU "Public contracts", coaches, athletes, relatives, friends, representatives of the public and the media came to the meeting with the champion.

In the welcome speech of Gulmira Shakirova congratulated the champion with a bright victory and wished new heights for the benefit of our republic and the country as a whole.

Andrei Kotov said that he was very much tuned to the finals, where he had to fight with Alim Yunusov from Russia, but this fight for him was unsuccessful. Also the sportsman expressed sincere gratitude to the Head of the region Nurlan Nogaev for the support and assistance that he provides to our athletes.

Note that Andrei Kotov in the semifinals with a clean victory won the Russian athlete Kiril Psarev.
