The day of German culture was held in the House of Friendship in Astana with the support of the capital Assembly of people of Kazakhstan.

The festival was opened with flashmob “Berlin polka”. Participants of the festive event visited the exhibition hall, where the history of the Germans of Kazakhstan was presented. Many Germans in different years were awarded state awards, 20 of them were awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labour. Visitors of the exhibition “Germans of Kazakhstan” learned a lot of interesting facts from the history of the Germans of Astana and Akmola region.

The welcoming speeches were delivered by Deputy of the Majilis of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Albert Rau and Head of the Secretariat of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan in Astana Lyazzat Kussainova.

Within the framework of the Programme of the Day of German culture, master classes on singing, dancing, applied arts, cooking were held at the same time in three halls of the House of Friendship and aroused great interest of citizens.

The celebration ended with a concert programme.
