The Day of Greek Culture took place in Pavlodar

Day of Greek Culture took place in the city park of culture and rest within the framework of the summer festival "We Live in the Family of a United". The organizer of the event was the regional Greek ethno-cultural association "Elpida". Among the guests of the holiday were members of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan in the region, leaders of ethno-cultural associations, as well as guests and residents of the city.

Being a public organization "Elpida" sets itself noble goals of preserving and multiplying Greek culture on Pavlodar land, further strengthening of cultural and interethnic interaction of ethnoses united by one historical destiny, one Homeland - an independent Republic of Kazakhstan. In the cultural center "Elpida" they say: "Our doors are open to everyone who cares about the Greek culture, which has deep historical roots. The goal of each meeting is to learn and preserve our past and enrich our present. "

The culture of any people does not belong specifically to its representatives, it belongs to all people. For example, the Greeks have a beautiful custom - to shower the petals of the artists they liked. And on our stage the organizers prepared a basket with petals, and the spectators showered those participants who liked them.

On this remarkable day, the audience was pleased with the performances by the vocal group "Kardies apo musiki", "Margaritari", the dance group "Anagenisi", as well as the students of the school of national revival with songs, dances and beautiful poems.

At the end of the event, Lyudmila Petrovna IFANDOPULO, chairman of the Elpida ethno-cultural association, made a speech. She noted the active participants of the center, and wished everyone creative success. All participants were awarded memorable gifts, certificates and diplomas. Then everyone and spectators and participants together joined hands and danced together "The Great Circle of Greek Dance".
