On May 26, 2017, at 11.00 in the building of KSU "Public contracts" under the Mayor of the Akmola region administration with the joint organization of the Akmola Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and the "Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan" Chair of the Kokshetau University named after Abai Myrzahmetov, a scientific and practical conference "Political repressions of the 30s Early 50-ies of XX century in the historical memory of Kazakhstan ", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the beginning of political repression.

The main goal of this event is the development of public harmony and national unity, the propagation of our common historical heritage, the preservation of the memory of the victims of political repression, the knowledge of their stories.

The event was attended by representatives of ethno-cultural associations, public consent councils, members of scientific and expert groups, faculty members of the departments of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan and social and humanitarian disciplines, students of higher educational institutions and colleges, the public of the city.

Head of the Secretariat of the Akmola Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Dzhakupova Maral Kazhykenovna in her speech welcomed the participants of the conference, acquainted them with the further program and announced a minute of silence in honor of the memory of the victims of political repression.

During the conference, the history of political repression was discussed. Among the speakers can be named: Abdulina Rauza Zhaksimbaevna - Candidate of Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Department of World History and Philosophy of Kokshetau State University named after Shokan Ualikhanov on the topic: "To the problem of the history of mass repressions in the USSR", Tulepbergenov Galymtay Malikovich - Master of Arts, Senior Teacher Department of "Universal History" of Kokshetau State University named after Shokan Ualikhanov on the topic "Of the twentieth century. 30 years repressed Akmola region".

Also, the appearance of the descendant of the repressed person Tsoi Zhanara Nikolayevna was very impressive; she shared a brief history of her ancestors.

According to the head of the secretariat of the Akmola Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, Jakupova Maral Kazhikenovna, the Akmola Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, in conjunction with the chairs of the Assembly of the Peoples of Kazakhstan of Kokshetau State University named after Shokan Ualikhanov and Kokshetau University named after Abai Myrzahmetov, plans several national projects.

At the end of the event, Kapyshev Ardak Kairzhanovich, Chairman of the Scientific Expert Group, Deputy Head of the ANC Department, Candidate of Historical Sciences, and Associate Professor of the Kokshetau University named after Abai Myrzahmetov addressed the participants and thanked them for participating in the conference. Then the participants of the conference visited the exhibition hall of the Association of National Decorative and Applied Art under the Akmola Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.
