May 30, 2017 in the Regional Universal Library named after A.Tazhibaeva of Kyzylorda city took place the presentation of the documentary collection - the "History of Kazakhstan. 1917-2012. Documents and materials ".

The event was attended by representatives of the ANC Secretariat of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, members of the ANC, members of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the RSU "Public contracts", representatives of ethno-cultural associations, the Institute of the History of the State named after A.Tazhibaev, the media, and others.

Also, within the framework of the presentation, the action "Gift from the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan" took place.

"Today an important event is taking place in the regional library. I believe that "Memory for the Future" is a very useful and relevant project for today. It helps to strengthen national unity. In the framework of this forum our library receives a gift from the Assembly. These books will become the spiritual wealth of our region, and will be passed on from generation to generation. I would like to wish the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan great success in strengthening the unity of our people," said Nurzhamal Myrzamuratova, director of the Regional Universal Scientific Library named after A.Tajibaev.

The edition, issued according to the documents of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was prepared jointly with the ANC. The presentation takes place in the framework of the Forum "Memory for the Future".

Reader “History of Kazakhstan. 1917-2012. Documents and materials” is a collection of selected documents from the funds of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, covering the periods of the modern and modern history of Kazakhstan: extracting from the laws, minutes of meetings, transcripts, official and analytical notes, documents from personal funds of state, political and public figures of Kazakhstan concerning Various issues of the development of society, materials from the Archives Newspaper Fund.

Compiled according to the chronological principle, the book corresponds to the standard program of the course "History of Kazakhstan" in higher education institutions, and it covers the main milestones of the development of Kazakhstan society since the beginning of the 20-th century until 2012 inclusive. The sections of the anthology ("Kazakhstan in the Soviet period", "Independent Kazakhstan") are divided into historical periods: the formation of the totalitarian system and the pre-war period of 1917-1940, Kazakhstan during the war of 1941-1945, the postwar period and the era of stagnation 1946-1985, the period of democratization of society in 1986-1990 and the formation of Independent Kazakhstan since 1991.
