December 9, 2017 in the sports complex of the Center for the Preparation of Olympic Reserves, with the support of the assembly of the people of Kazakhstan in Zhambyl region, a tournament among teenagers in free-style wrestling was held, dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 73rd anniversary of the migration of Turks "Ahiska" to Kazakhstan. The organizer of the tournament is Zhymbul regional branch of the public association "Turkish ethno-cultural center "Ahiska".

The purpose of the tournament: to contribute to the health of youth and adolescents, the formation of a healthy lifestyle among them, the development of a system of mass sports and physical education.

The tournament was attended by teenagers from the districts of the region born in 2003-2007. The competition was conducted according to the rules of the international standard UWW, in two age groups and in different weight categories. In the overall team event, the team of the Merken district took the first place.

Winners and prize-winners were awarded with special diplomas and medals from the Zhymyl regional branch of the public association "Turkish ethno-cultural center "Ahiska".

The winners of the tournament were awarded by the representatives of the regional administration of sports of Zhambyl blast, the chairman of the Zhymyl regional branch of the public association "Turkish ethno-cultural center "Ahiska" M. Davrishev and the deserved coaches of the Republic of Kazakhstan in freestyle wrestling.
