October 20, 2017 in the Taraz State University named after M.H. Dulati Republican scientific and practical conference on the theme: "Methodological and socio-political aspects of the renewal of public consciousness in the implementation of the national idea" Mangilik El ".

The event was organized by the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan of Zhambyl oblast jointly with the Department of Internal Policy of the Akimat of the region and the Taraz State University named after M.H. Dulati. The conference was attended by deputy akim of Zhambyl region Erkanat Manzhuov, Member of the National Commission under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Modernization of Public Consciousness Anatoly Bashmakov, head of the "Assembly of People of Kazakhstan» West Kazakhstan State University named after M. Utemisov Turar Shaikhiev, Senior Lecturer of the West Kazakhstan State Medical University named M.Ospanova Gulnar Kalmanova, expert-analyst of KGU "Center of Public Accord - House of Friendship" of the apparatus of Akim of Almaty region Indira Alkhanova, members of the scientific-expert group of the regional assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, ethno-cultural associations, non-governmental organizations, scientists, teaching staff of universities and general education schools, undergraduates, students and media representatives.

The Republican Scientific and Practical Conference that took place in the city of Taraz is aimed at the further implementation of the four institutional reforms of the Nation's Plan "100 concrete steps", the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan "The Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness" and the program article of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev "A look into the future: modernization of public consciousness".

The conference discussed issues of forming the foundations of civil identity in the context of modernizing public consciousness, the role of the national idea of "Mangilik El" in the formation of patriotic education of youth. Also, the effectiveness of educational work in the implementation of the national idea "Mangilik El", the formation of an anti-corruption educational culture and the language problem in the implementation of the "Mangilik El" idea on the example of higher and secondary educational institutions of Zhambyl, Almaty and West Kazakhstan regions were considered.
