«THIS BEAUTY IS MORE TRUTH....»

In celebration of the anniversary of Independence of Kazakhstan and the nationwide campaign "25 star days" the exhibition of graphic works "Uly Dala Tynysy" of Kokshetau black-and-white artist Marzhikov Zhanuzak has been first presented in the exhibition hall of Kokshetau Palace of Public Consent.

The main intention and the main line of artist's graphic works is love expression to motherland, native land. Zhanuzak Marzhikov prefers graphics - laconic style of black and white graphic image that requires precision of lines and painstaking. Line by line he applies fragments of the future picture and profiles of hills, contours of the yurts, horses, human figures that natal to his heart alive on the picture.

Zhanuzak Kaliuly painted since childhood. The love of art was instilled in him by parents. Kali's father was a master of all trades, mother engaged in embroidering, weaving carpets and had a reputation for well-known weaver and needlewoman. His first drawings made by pen and ink, were published in the school newspaper, and then began to appear regularly in "Kazakhstan pionerі" republican newspaper. After graduating from high school Zhanuzak left his native village Kyzyl-Asker and went to Almaty, where he enrolled in art school.

The major milestone in the creative life of the artist was military service in the Navy in Severomorsk.

Away from their native steppes Zhanuzak admired the beauty of the Northern Lights and the far shore of the bay in the rare moments of soldier rest. One day he showed his sketches to the head of Naval Art Studio, the member of the Union of Artists Alexander Sergienko, due to which his drawings appeared in the newspaper of the Navy, and then in "Polyarnaya pravda" regional newspaper.

Zhanuzak Kaliyevich is known not only as a black-and-white artist, but also as a master of wood carving, creating amazing things out of wood, and as a literary artist. His works have been published and being published on the pages of local and regional newspapers.

Marzhikov Zhanuzak is an original master of fine arts, the winner of city and regional competitions, the winner of "Kokshetau City Talent" competition dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the city.

The popular Kokshetau journalist Larisa Aitova at a meeting with the artist shared good memories of him as a professional artist-retoucher in days of their joint work in the "Stepnoy Mayak" newspaper. The artist was pleasantly surprised by the work provided by Larissa Khanafievna she had kept for a long time.

The Deputy Head of "Kogamdyk Kelіsіm" SPI Manat Ismagulov on behalf of the leadership has congratulated the artist with the presentation of a personal exhibition, solemnly handed him certificate of thanks.

The honored Worker of Culture, the member of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan, the Chairman of Kokshetau Region Union of Artists Yuri Popov has expressed kind wishes to his “fellow tradesman”.

The event was participated by students of Kokshetau Kazakh Pedagogical College named after Zh. Musin, members of the Association of Folk Crafts of "Kogamdyk kelіsіm" SPI and invited guests.

"For the artist, everything is fine, because in every being, in everything his shrewd eyes open a character that is the inner truth that shines through the outer form. And this truth is beauty itself,"- this saying of the famous French sculptor Auguste Rodin may be fully attributed to the creativity of Kokshetau original artist Marzhikov Zhanuzak.
