Passing through Kostanay, the cyclist visited the Armenian community "Erebuni".



Over 6 thousand kilometers are already behind us. Behind them - Iran, Turkmenistan, many Kazakhstani cities and villages. 39-year-old Arthur Ohanyan travels with his four-legged friend - a thoroughbred German shepherd named Graf, who sits in a special wagon.



"He took a" friend "with him, so that it would not be boring," Arthur smiles. "He not only sits in the wagon, but he also runs alongside me alongside the bicycle along the road. In a day we cross an average of 80 km. From Charentsavan (a city in Armenia, located 25 km from Yerevan), I left on January 11. During this time I managed to visit Iran, Turkmenistan. By the way, to get a visa to enter Turkmenistan, and it is not so easy to do, I was greatly helped by the consulate of that country in Armenia. In principle, on the road there are very attentive and friendly people who are ready not only to help out, but also to stay overnight. In Aktobe local policemen, having found out where I am going, even presented me with a flag of Kazakhstan. This is my third bike tour, which I dedicated exactly to EXPO-2017. It is interesting to see Astana and the exhibition itself. This is a grand event for your country and I, taking this opportunity, not only can get acquainted with Kazakhstan, but also visit all those Armenian diasporas that are created and working here.



Arthur immediately notes that he managed to fall in love with the traditional Kazakh dish - beshbarmak, and he also liked samsa. He smiles that his 40-year anniversary, and his birthday on September 5, will celebrate along the way. He does not get used to driving along the serpentine, overcoming steep turns, shaking off the road. For this he even left his favorite work as a builder.



"We welcomed our compatriot with joy," said Sergey Grigoryan, deputy chairman of the Armenian community of Erebuni of Kostanay region. - We are glad that the exhibition "EXPO" does not leave anyone indifferent and attracts such attention from the public. After all, first of all for us - Kazakhstan people - is an exhibition - a demonstration of our unity, friendship, harmony and solidarity!
