V Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held  in Astana on June 10-11, 2015.

In order to protect civilians and prevent violence around the world President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev call on the warring parties to negotiating table, the participants of Congress to strength call on peace.

At the same time, Nursultan Nazarbayev announced of full support of the Council of Religious Leaders on  promoting ideas and solving problems of world and traditional religions.

Today, during the sessions discussed the activities of extremist organization "Islamic State", the internal armed conflicts in the east of Ukraine. At the same time, it was noted the responsibility of media in inciting interreligious conflicts.

Also discussed the issue of youth, about educating of softness, indulgence, tolerance in the character of the younger generation, discussed  the right influence of religious on young people, which should be invest to them through science, culture, education.

80 delegations of various confessions arrived from more than 40 countries at  V Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. The congress was attended by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, UN General Secretary Ban Ki-moon, leaders of world and traditional religions.
