A meeting of representatives of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan headed by Deputy Chairman – head of Secretariat of APK Leonid Prokopenko with a delegation under the leadership of the Chairman of People's Political Consultative Conference Nurlan Abdimazhin from Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The foreign delegation consisted of 20 people, there were representatives of Committee on Legislation and Foreign Affairs, Office for Foreign and Migration Affairs, Department for Civil Affairs, Department of Labour and Social Security, Department of Public Security.

People’s Political Consultative Conference is an essential body for multiparty cooperation and an important tool of supporting socialist democracy in China’s policy. It is an important platform where different political parties, people’s organizations, and people of all ethnoses work together in democratic participation in matters of state. Members of People’s Political Consultative Conference serve as advisers for the government and legislative bodies and propose suggestions on important political and social issues in the world’s most populous nation.

Chairman of People’s Political Consultative Conference told about the realization “The Silk Road Economic Belt” that was put forward by Chinese President Xi Jinping and announced for the first time in Astana during his state visit to Kazakhstan in September 2013. It is an international initiative aimed at improvement of existing and creating new trade routes, transport and economic corridors linking more than 60 countries of Central Asia, Europe and Africa, which will contribute to the development of trade relations between them and China. As Xi Jinping noted, China and the countries of the Central Asian region have a common strategic goal, which is the stable development of the economy, prosperity and power of the states. Chinese leader emphasized the need to strengthen practical cooperation comprehensively and convert the benefits of political dialogue, geographical proximity and economic complementarity into the benefits of cooperation, sustainable growth, creation of common interests on the basis of mutual benefit and common gain.
The concept of “Silk Road Economic Belt” is designed for the next few decades, today it is one of the vectors in China's advancement to a new global role.

The parties discussed the issues of cooperation of state bodies and civil society. Also there were suggestions for mutual partnership and multiparty strategic partnership.
