In the regional Friendship House a meeting on the working trip to the West Kazakhstan region of the Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, Darhan Mynbay, was held.

The meeting was attended by akim of the region Altai Kulginov, deputy chairman, head of the APK WKR secretariat Gaisa Kapakov, first deputy chairman of the regional branch of the "Nur Otan" party Serik Suleimen, members of the regional councils of elders, mothers, representatives of the scientific-expert group of the regional assembly, leaders and members ethnocultural associations of the region.

The conversation focused on the initiatives undertaken in the framework of the program "Ryhani zhangiry" - switching the Kazakh alphabet to Latin, the formation of civic identity, the development of mediation, study and promotion of sacred geography, strengthening cross-border cooperation, the digitalization of Kazakhstan and others.

As Darkhan Mynbay noted, even during the first session in 1995, our President noted the importance of the Assembly's line, without which we will not be able to solve any tasks. Today, the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan not only proved its viability, but was recognized by all states, an international forum was held in which all representatives of the Central Asian states, Russia, who study our experience of interethnic relations, took part.

- Today the Head of the State before the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan has set specific tasks related to the implementation of the program "Ryhani zhangiry". In all regions, plans for the participation of the Assembly in projects for the modernization of public consciousness have been developed. In general, 583 APK events are planned for the republic by the end of the year, including 20 republican ones. The project office roster included a number of activities of West Kazakhstan region - including the organization of tourist and local lore expeditions "Asil yrpak", "Ylttik kyndiliktar - el birligi" and others.

I want to remind you that we need to ensure a high-quality level of implementation of the "Ryhani zhangiry" projects, this will influence the rating of the akim and in general the assessment of the work carried out in the region. At the 25th session of the Assembly, the President drew special attention to this, noting that we need not only round tables, but also high-quality content and concrete results. Our support of the program "Ryhani zhangiry" is not limited to the current year, this process of modernization of public consciousness is designed for the future. Therefore, the work plans of the APK should be carefully worked out for 2018-2020, - Darkhan Mynbay underlined.

Akim of the region, the chairman of the regional Assembly Altai Kulginov told about the work carried out in the region in the field of interethnic relations and within the framework of the program "Ryhani zhangiry". So the regional Assembly has 127 members and over 21 thousand activists. The APK WKR includes 52 ethnocultural associations and a center, 32 members of the regional Assembly are elected by deputies of various levels. Our region was one of the first to start work on the creation of public consent councils, today 239 councils have been created and are working in the region. Since the current year, the APK WKR has been working on the program "Ryhani zhangiry". Within the framework of the project "100 new persons of Kazakhstan", a commission was set up in the Assembly, more than 300 candidates were selected and sent for consideration.

The participants of the meeting discussed the projects "Tygan zher", "100 new persons of Kazakhstan", the transition of the Kazakh alphabet to the Latin schedule. As Darkhan Mynbay emphasized, the goals of the projects coincide with the tasks of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan to consolidate the nation and strengthen public consent.

- The transition to the Latin alphabet is a civilizational choice, the significance of which is difficult to overestimate. On this issue, on September 15, we held an extended meeting of the Scientific and Expert Council of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan with the invitation of developers of the new alphabet, and a single discussion was held in all regions. In general, the society positively perceived the need to switch to the Latin alphabet, our task is to provide constructive discussion and support for this complex, multifaceted task. We need to disclose the possibilities of the state language, which are opened in connection with the transition to the Latin alphabet, to be open to the world. This issue should not be politicized, first of all, it is internal features of the language, so it is important to attract linguists and other professionals who must ensure a hasty transition of the Kazakh language to the Latin alphabet, D. Mynbay said.

The instructions of the Head of State to finalize the Law on the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan was specially noted. According to D. Mynbay, nine years have passed since the adoption of this law, during this time a new structure of the Assembly has arisen, new departments have been functioning. Including - the deputy group in the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Scientific and Expert Council of the APK, the councils of public consent, the mediation councils, the RGU "Kogmadyk kelisim" under the President and its institutions with akims in the regions, in accordance with the APK Concept until 2025, and charity.

"We need to comprehensively analyze all the norms of the current Law and prepare proposals for its improvement, taking into account the current agenda. This is a priority. The new Law on the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan should be submitted for consideration to the Majilis of the Parliament by the end of this year.
