December 14, 2017 was the XX session of the Kyzylorda regional assembly of the people of Kazakhstan under the chairmanship of the akim of the region Krimbek Kusherbayev. Members of the regional ANC, leaders and activists of ethnocultural associations, representatives of the academic community, oblast and city deputies, leaders and activists of non-governmental organizations, heads of educational institutions and representatives of the media took part in it.

At the beginning of the session, the National Anthem sounded. Several issues were discussed on the agenda of the session. "Independence and the Assembly: on the tasks and objectives arising from the results of the XXV Session of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan", the second one - rewarding, the third issue - on the approval of the deputy chairman of the regional assembly of the people of Kazakhstan on a voluntary basis.

The main importance of the collegial meeting this year - on the eve of holding his 26-th anniversary of Independence. An introductory speech was given to the akim of the region, to the chairman of the regional assembly Krymbek Yeleurovich Kusherbayev.

In the course of the meeting, a member of the scientific-expert group at the regional APK, Candidate of Technical Sciences, associate professor Kuanysh Daurenbekov, the winner of the project "100 new faces", the teacher-psychologist, the translator Syambat Abdrakhmanova, member of the Council of Mothers of the regional APK, activist of the German ethno-cultural association Maria Semenikina, the head of the ethnocultural association "Slavs" Galina Shcherbakova, activist of the Tatar ethno-cultural association, philanthropist Venera Gafurova, activist of the ethno-oriented association "Ult birligi" of the Shieli district, businessman Ida Tsoi, member of the Syrdarya District Club "Mangilik el" Nikolai Lavrov, a member of the Shieli District Club "Mangilik el" Diaz Nurbayev.

They shared their views on the latest developments taking place in our country and on strengthening peace and harmony. They called for the support of the balanced policy of the Head of State and the ongoing reforms, to work tirelessly in the direction of modernizing public consciousness.

And on the third question, akim of the region K.E. Kusherbayev introduced the newly approved deputy chairman of the regional assembly of the people of Kazakhstan on a voluntary basis - the head of the public association "Cultural and Social Center "Slavians" Galina Shcherbakov.

Also, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the public gold medal "Birlik" of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan was awarded to the members of the regional APK - the head of the regional Jewish ethno-cultural association "Lev ami" Lyudmila Lee and the deputy chairman of the board of the JSC "National company "Socially-entrepreneurial corporation "Baykonir" Irina Kim. In addition, activists of the regional APK received Certificates of Honor and letters of gratitude from the Assembly on behalf of the President. Along with this, the head of the region during the session presented letters of gratitude to the leaders of the EKTs who made a significant contribution to the development of state ethnopolitics in the region.

At the end of the session, a festive concert was held for the Independence Day.
