The decisions of the XXIX session of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and issues of improving the efficiency of the Assembly in the face of new global challenges were discussed at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, the Secretary of State Kyrymbek Kusherbayev emphasized that the socio-economic success of the state is directly related to the unity, interethnic harmony and interfaith peace of the people. He also said that peace and tranquility in the country, high prestige at the international community, confidence of the investor and economic growth are the result of the unity formula proposed by the President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Therefore, the Assembly should give the priority to the formation of common values ​​and interests of the people of Kazakhstan in its work.

The Secretary of the State gave a number of specific instructions to further improve the institutional and infrastructural work of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan.

The Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan – Head of the Secretariat Marat Azilkhanov, the Deputy Chairmen of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan Maya Bekbayeva and Zakirzhan Kuziyev, the deputies of the Majilis, heads of central and local executive bodies, members of the APK Council, public figures, scientific and creative representatives took part at the extended meeting.

A new composition of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and the Council of the Assembly was approved during the meeting. They included the representatives of repatriates and youth, leaders of the next wave of ethno cultural associations. An official representative of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan has been approved too. This position is held by the Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Club of Journalists of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan – Maya Bekbayeva.
