Civil Forum on Tolerance of CICA Countries
 
On 28 June 2013, the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan (APK) together with the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan will convene International Forum of National and Cultural Centers of Peoples of CICA Countries: Civil Forum on Tolerance of CICA Countries in Astana’s Academy of Public Administration under the President (address: Abay Avenue, 33A) as part of theRepublican Festival of Friendship of Peoples of Kazakhstan.
 
The event will be attended by public figures, domestic and foreign scientists, deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, senior members of the CICA’s Secretariat, representatives of state bodies of the Republic, diplomatic missions of CICA countries in Kazakhstan, members of the APK and ethnocultural associations, non-governmental sector, youth organizations, and media.
 
The Forum will start as five panel discussions: "Astana as the Center of Integration of Culture and Policy: towards a new world" (timed to 15th anniversary of Astana); "Expo 2017": new perspectives of cooperation among CICA countries"; "Central Asia on geopolitical agenda: national identity and regional security"; "Informational space of CICA countries: new approaches and solutions"; "Processes of Formation of Tolerance and Social Accord in CICA countries". 
 
The plenary session of the Forum will be opened with the signing of the Protocol on Cooperation between the APK and Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan.
 
Moderator of the plenary session: Deputy Chairperson – Chief of the Secretariat of the APK of the Administration of the President of the RK Yeraly Tugzhanov. Speakers include Vice Minister of Culture and Information Arman Kyrykbayev, President of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the RK Bolatbek Abdrasilov, Deputy Executive Director of CICA Secretariat Mr. Kanat Tumysh, Ambassador-at-Large Usen Suleymen, Chairman of the Management Board of National Company EXPO-2017 JSC Talgat Yermegiayev, public figure Murat Auezov, foreign scientists from Russia, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan. 
 
The Forum will also include the exhibition of 36 republican and regional media of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan and ethnocultural associations published in 15 languages: Kazakh, Russian, Uzbek, Uygur, Ukrainian, German, Korean, Turkish, Azerbaijani, Tatar, Belorussian, Hebrew, Armenian, Dungan, and Kurdish. 
 
The results of the Forum’s discussion will translate into recommendations to further strengthen interethnic and intercultural dialogue in CICA countries, expand cooperation in implementation of interstate projects designed to contribute to peace and accord.
