Today all the progressive mankind is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site.

The tragedy of the Semipalatinsk test site is a mutual tragedy of our people.

On the initiative of our President N.A. Nazarbayev, the world's first nuclear test site was closed, thus Kazakhstan has laid a new moral standard of trust in international politics.

Due to these measures, the UN General Assembly supported the initiative of Kazakhstan to proclaim August 29 an International Day against Nuclear Tests.

For 25 years, thanks to the policy of peace and harmony to strengthen global security, Kazakhstan declared safe area, and our President became a peacemaker in the international community.

On the 25th anniversary of Independence an important historical achievement of Kazakhstan's participation in the solution of global problems was the election of Kazakhstan as a nonpermanent member of the UN Security Council ", - stressed in his speech deputy akim of Mangistau region Nurgaziyeva Banu Ganievna.

An appeal to the manifest of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev "World.
