November 9 this year for students of the second year of the Balkhash Medical College held a lecture on the topic: "Destructive religious trends. Signs and negative essence".

The main speakers were members of the advocacy group on religion - Abdikadir Seitkali, theologian KGU «Center for the study and analysis of the city of Balkhash interfaith relations problems," Serik Pshenbaev, the deputy of city Maslikhat, chairman of the public consent of the Board and Director of Balkhash Balkhash medical college.

Speakers talked about the concept of religious extremism, and for what acts a person is called a terrorist. Separately, they explained how the destructive religious trends can be recognized and what is their danger to society.

They covered the issues of state policy in the religious sphere and work to counter religious extremism, and a video on this topic was also presented to 110 future doctors and teachers.

We talked about traditional values as the basis and "immunity" of Kazakhstan's society from the spread of religious extremism and the role of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan in strengthening inter-ethnic and inter-confessional unity and harmony in our country.

The lecture was organized by KGU "Kogamdyk kelisim" of the apparatus of the akim of the Karaganda region and KGU "Center for studying and analyzing the problems of inter-confessional relations of the Karaganda region" within the framework of the joint plan of actions with the participation of the Councils of public consent to counter religious extremism for 2017-2018.
