In Uralsk, in the framework of the “Days of culture of ethnic groups”, events were held on the topic "The Ural Cossacks - the traditions and glory"

The celebration began at the monument to Nikita Savichev where Yury Ponomarev, Deputy Consul of the General Consulate of RF in Uralsk, deputy chairman of the APK WKR Gaisa Kapakov, the elder of the Ural Cossacks spoke. After laying flowers at the monument, the guests visited the exhibition of paintings by Ural artist Sergei Saibel.

Vice-Consul Yuri Ponomarev noted that the creator of an explanatory dictionary of the Russian language V.I. Dal wrote about the Cossacks: "Culture and life of this people, the Cossacks, is flowery, bright, and abundant with unknown paintings and native life: it is a coveted area, which should be holy to every Russian."

Then, in the Old Uralsk museum, guests got acquainted with the exhibits, old photographs, objects of Ural Cossacks’ everyday life and old books. Writer A.Yalfimov told Cossack tales that excited the audience. The screen showed the presentation - old photos and sketches from the life of the Cossacks, "Cossack Requiem" was read. The Cossack song ensemble from Ozernoe village sang soulful Cossack songs, "My relatives," "On the edge of the vast Russia."

Kyui Kurmangazy was greeted with a standing ovation. There was also read an excerpt from the story "The Ural Cossack", the performance by "Mikhailov den" ensemble was held. The guests watched the documentary "Sons of Yaik Gorynych", the performance by "Sudarushka" ensemble and guests of Kazan, Russian Federation - the Tatar amateur performance ensemble. Then there was the summing up the results of the essay competition among students and schoolchildren of the city and the photo contest "old Uralsk Corners."

"And, all ethnic groups so closely interwoven in peace and harmony live in the Transurals", - said the deputy chairman of the APK WKR Gaisa Kapakov. 

The celebration ended with the performance of the favorite song "Atameken"
