The international marathon of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures was held in Astana.

Akim of Astana Aset Isekeshev, Minister of Information and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dauren Abayev, Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, famous Kazakh boxer Kanat Islam and many others were seen among the participants of the marathon. Earlier, the Olympic champion of Athens, boxer Bakhtiyar Artayev, Olympic champion of London Alexander Vinokurov, two-time silver medalist in the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games, Bulat Zhumadilov, silver medalist of the 2010 Olympic Biathlon in Vancouver Elena Khrustaleva, bronze medalist of the 1998 Olympic Games Speed ​​skating Lyudmila Prokasheva, the famous Kazakh cyclist of the Astana cycling team Asan Bazayev, world youth champion in karate-do Alisher Kabdulaev, the winner of Kazakstan Barysy 2011 Ode, silver medalist of 2017 Ulan Ryskul and many others.

Participants in the marathon divided into three categories: the most prepared and hardy will run 42 km, the greater part will try to overcome the average distance of 10 km. For the oldest and youngest participants, there is a symbolic distance of 2017 meters.

Among the men-Paralympians, Kurban Abuov became the first place winner. The second place was taken by Nikolay Kvashin, and Dastan Raushanbekov closed the top three.

In the same race among female athletes Anar Kyrykbayeva from Astana won. Athletes from Pavlodar Anastasia Sharovarova and Bella Komarova were invited to the podium as follows.

At a distance of 10 kilometers among female athletes, bronze went to Nadezhda Bekmagambetova from the city of Kokshetau. An athlete from Shymkent, Balnur Asylbek, was awarded a silver medal, Tatiana Neroznak with gold medals.

Among the men, Kudaibergen Zeynollayev became the best. If the sportsman from the Almaty region Daryn Konysbaev came running second, Artem Chizhevsky, who defended the honor of the South-Kazakhstan region, became the third.

And in the final stage of the Astana International Marathon SCO and CICA, whose distance was 42 kilometers 195 meters, the winners were also determined among male and female athletes.

If the owners of the first place received 13 thousand dollars, the winners of the second place - 6 thousand dollars, and those who took the third place, were awarded certificates for 4 thousand dollars.

So, in the marathon the owners of silver medals were Vladislav Priamov from the Republic of Belarus and Marina Khmelevskaya from Uzbekistan. Bronze medals went to Ilya Tyapkin from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan athlete Gulzhanat Zhanatbek.

The money prizes were also awarded to the participants of the marathon, who were awarded the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth places.

The winners of the other distances also did not go unheeded. They were awarded valuable prizes from the sponsors and organizers of the event.

In total, the international marathon of the SCO and the Ministry of Internal Affairs gathered 5,600 people from different regions of the country.
