September 13 in the framework of the "Caravan of Mercy" project charity event for low-income families and the elderly was organized by Assembly of the Kazakhstan People of Astana city together with the Tatar-Bashkir cultural center "Tan" in honor of the Muslim holiday "Kurban Eid".

In the best traditions of the holiday 20 families were blessed with its main attribute - the fresh meat of the sacrificial animal, with delivery service.

In addition, representatives of the youth wing of the "Nur Otan" party familiarized with the conditions of living veterans of the II World War and the elderly, to organize help in cleaning the house and yard area, purchase of products, etc.

It should be noted that a list of low-income families in need of social assistance is made by the Council of Elders at the Tatar-Bashkir cultural center "Tan" on the eve of the holiday "Kurban Eid" each year. As a general rule, the list includes the II World War veterans, low-income families, and people with disabilities.

During the charity event executive director of the Tatar-Bashkir cultural center "Tan" Nizamutdinova Zemfira Mahmedovna noted greatness of "Kurban Eid" holiday and stressed the particular importance in helping those in need in these days.

At the end of the action all the families which received help, expressed their gratitude to the organizers of the event.
