Muttertag - 2017 noted in Taraz

It was crowded on Sunday morning at the site in front of the house No. 14 in the Akbulak micro district of the Taraz city, where the office of the NGO "Society of Germans of Zhambyl region" is located. Its participants and guests widely celebrated Mother's Day

"In the year of the 25-th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Federal Republic of Germany, with the support of the Association of Public Associations of Germans of Kazakhstan "Reviva"and the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, we are carrying out various activities aimed at popularizing German culture," said the chairman of the public association of Germans in Zhambyl region Alexander Gibner. - These include the traditional Mother's Day holiday, which has deep, long-standing historical roots in Germany. Celebrated in one of the Sundays of May, as a day of gratitude and reverence to those who give life to the human race. On this day, children, grandchildren, husbands, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, all family members express their best feelings and wishes to mothers. I must say that in Germany there is no longer a tradition to celebrate the 8-th of March as a holiday, but we, the Germans of Kazakhstan, have two women's days - this is not bad at all. Today our numerous creative teams, in which children from the age of three are involved, the youth club "Juvel", the vocal ensembles of adults will present their gifts to all mothers.

Carefully, with all the heart prepared poetic, song and dance gifts were many, about thirty. Fervent German polka, smooth waltzes, comic and lyric songs, heartfelt words of poems in German and Russian languages - everything was dedicated to women, mothers blossoming from each concert number with joyful smiles and zealously applauding artists. Among them, in addition to ethnic Germans - children and young people of different nationalities, students of Gymnasium No. 40 and other educational institutions, with great interest comprehending German culture and traditions.

At the end of the holiday, one more event took place, the summing-up of the contest of crafts from junk materials. It was dedicated to the ecological ideas of the International Exhibition "Astana Expo-2017" and the bicentennial of the first collection of fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm celebrated this year. More than 40 students from the city's schools took part in the competition, the best works were put on public display at the festival site, and their authors received well-deserved awards.
