August 29, 2016 on the "Otan Ana" square in Astana Republican campaign ''Ak Oramal" was held, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site.

The action was organized by the Council of Mothers of Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and is aimed to demonstrating the role of the First President of Kazakhstan - Leader of the Nation N.A. Nazarbayev to maintaine global security, support and promotion of the Manifest "Peace. XXI Century ", peace initiatives of Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, members of the Assembly, the Council of the APK mothers RMO "Zharasim", governmental representatives, ethnic and cultural associations, youth.

During the event, Section Head of the APK of the Presidential Administration Nazipa Idrisovna Shana told about the significance of this action. "Today's date is both significant and tragic. 25 years ago was closed the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site. Today, mothers of our country under the auspices of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan carry out the campaign "Ak oramal" calling entire population, all People of Kazakhstan to maintain and promote peace. We need a peaceful planet. We want the future for our children. We are against terrorism. We are for peace, for peace on all the Earth. This policy belongs to our President and leader Nursultan Nazarbayev ", - Nazipa Idrisovna said in her speech.

Also, the participants of the campaign, depity of the V- Majilis convocation Nadezhda Nesterova and writer Saule Doszhanova on behalf of APK mothers of the Council appealed to the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan to support the Manifest "Peace. XXI Century" and the peace initiatives of the Leader of the Nation N.A. Nazarbayev.

During the Republican campaign, APK held a gala concert and theatrical music show "Ak Oramal - Ak niet".

"Ak Oramal" ("White scarf") has a deep philosophical meaning in the history of the Kazakh people. It is a symbol of purity, purity of thought, purity of heart, a symbol of motherhood, the basics of human life.
