On 9^th December "Independence is the main value of a democratic state” scientific practical conference devoted to 25^th anniversary of Kazakhstan's Independence was held in the assembly hall of the House of Friendship.

The event was held to promote the historical significance of independence of multinational Kazakhstan, the recognition of the value and general efforts of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan and “Nur Otan” Party to strengthen political stability, civil peace and interethnic unity and consent.

Nail Salimov, the head of the secretariat of the South Kazakhstan Region People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan delivered the welcoming speech on the subject "The Assembly of People of Kazakhstan as the spiritual foundation of the sovereignty of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

The first Deputy Chairman of Petropavlovsk City Branch of "Nur Otan" Party Kenes Mukushev, the Senior Lecturer of the Department of "History and social-humanitarian disciplines", the Candidate of Historical Sciences Zylyikha Bimakanova, the Head of Scientific and Expert Group of South Kazakhstan Region People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan, the Candidate of Law Sciences Gulbakhsha Musabayeva, and the Chairman of "Barbang" Kurdish Center Rashid Nadirov spoke at the conference. At the end of the conference a resolution was adopted.
