On October 13, in the conference hall of the House of Friendship, a round table "Latin alipbiine koshu - zaman talabi" was held, dedicated to the transition of the Kazakh alphabet to the Latin script.

Leaders and activists of ethno-cultural associations, members of the scientific-expert group, the Council of Public Consent of the Mothers Council at the regional assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, youth wing activists, philologists and media representatives participated in this event.

With a welcoming speech, the moderator of this event - the head of the secretariat of the regional assembly of the people of Kazakhstan L. Tureshov addressed the round table participants:

"The transition to the Latin alphabet will contribute to the further development and modernization of the Kazakh language. It corresponds to the directions on which we are currently moving, including within the framework of the "Ryhani zhangiry' program. Language, traditions, culture - reflect our identity, they are our national code".

The reports on the transition of the Kazakh language to the Latin alphabet were made by the associate professor of the Kazakh Language and Literature and Journalism Department of the Korkit Ata KGU, Ph.D., member of the scientific-expert group under the regional APK A. Abasilov, the head of the Turkish ethnocultural association "Ahiska" G.Geydarova, director of the GKP "Regional Language Training Center" member of the Council of Mothers of the Regional APK N. Musaeva.

The round table continued with an exchange of views. They expressed their views: the chairman of the regional Council of Mothers R. Smahanova, member of the Tatar ethno-cultural association Z. Manyanova, member of the OO "Kyzylorda Regional Association of Koreans" V. Shin, head of the Jewish ethnocultural association "Lev ami" L. Li, member of the youth wing of the regional APK E. Pavlova, head of the Kyzylorda branch of the OO "Russian Community of Kazakhstan" "B. Tolokonnikov, a member of the social and cultural center "Slavs "M. Busygina.

At the end of the event, the moderator summed up the results.
