August 29 starting at 11.30 a.m. on the main streets of towns and villages of Zhambyl region in solemn procession passed the column of women and girls in white headscarves led by members of the Mothers Councils of the regional Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and ethno-cultural associations.

During the procession was made a stop at the memorials and monuments of war heroes, memorials to the victims of nuclear tests, with the laying of flowers, wreaths and white scarves.

The procession "Ak oramal" took place in three directions:

• First direction: from the Museum "Kone Taraz" to the memorial "Mangilik Alau", the participants were representatives of ethno-cultural associations and the Council of mothers of the APK area, teachers and students of TarSU, TARPI and TIGU;
• Second direction: from the KSE "Kogamdyk kelіsіm" to the monument for memory of victims of political repressions. The procession was attended by educators, choirs "Asyl Analar" and "Red Carnation";
• Third direction: from the regional drama theater to the monument Halyk Kaharmany by Gaziz Baitasov. Participants of the rally were medicine workers, sports management, social protection workers, the Association of Business Women and the Commission for Women's Affairs, Family and Demographic Policy under the Governor's office area.

In the framework of the procession inside the city House for Culture of Y.Dukenuly KSE "Kogamdyk kelіsіm" and akim apparatus held thematic evening "The world without nuclear weapons". In the end of the event, a press conference with the representatives of media was held, the results of the campaign "Ak oramal" were summed up.
