Ukrainian Ethnocultural Association and the Fort Shevchenko Complex Museum of Mangystau region held a solemn event in the House of Friendship in Aktau dedicated to the memory of Taras Shevchenko's reburial.
After a traditional meeting of guests with bread and salt, a concert of amateur art was presented to the audience.
Children of different ages and adults, who read poems and sang songs based on the words of the famous Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko, came to the stage in succession.
The culmination of the concert was a famous song to the lyrics by T. Shevchenko "Reve ta stogne Dnipr shyroky" performed by the trio "Smerichka" and the chorus of the Ukrainian ethnocultural center "Chervona Kalina".
The songs of "Kelykh Druzhby" and "Zemlya Kazakhstana" ("Land of Kazakhstan") were also sung by the participant Yulya Lesnichenko. The numbers were also performed by the dance group "Altair", which celebrates its 55th anniversary this year.
Guests were also pleased with the regular participants of the events – pupils of the preschool Assembly of kindergarten "Karlygash" (head Tatyana Artemenko), winners of the competition dedicated to the 205th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko, pupils of kindergartens "Zhaukazyn" and "Alma" of Tupkaragan district, pupils of the children's assembly of schools No. 5 and 23.
And the most pleasant moment, at the end of the event - especially for children - awarding the participants with sweet gifts, certificates and letters of gratitude from the Ukrainian ethnocultural center.
