September 21, 2016 at 10:00 hours at the Republic Square in Almaty was held the opening ceremony of the veterans-bike ride "From the Cradle of Independence to the capital of the Great Steppe country ", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of Kazakhstan people's Assembly Pitalenko L.N., representatives of RSU «Kogamdyk kelesim» under the President of Kazakhstan, NGO "Veterans of NSC", the Board of Internal Affairs of Almaty veterans AGBOF "RK Peace Foundation", the Secretariat of the Assembly of People Kazakhstan, Almaty, KSU «Kogamdyk kelesim» of akim of Almaty, representatives of the media.

Chairman of the Republican Public Association " Veterans of NSC ", the chairman of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan Veterans Council of Almaty - Raymkulov Abdumalik Raymkulovich inaugurated the event and led the deputy.

In his speech he noted that the veteran organization and management of the National Security Committee supports this great initiative and will certainly have his support. On behalf of all veterans of the National Security Committee, he wished to Abiltay Shayhovich safe mileage and to get to the finish in good health.

Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan - Pitalenko Leonid in his speech said that this long cycling tour illustrative example for young people and for all of us, promoting a healthy lifestyle, avoiding harmful habits, the call is constantly engaged in physical culture and sports. This is a great example of patriotism and pride for our country, for its independence. In conclusion, he thanked Abiltay Shayhovich for this initiative and wished him Godspeed and solemnly dressed in national caftan.

Also, among speakers was the chairman of the Council of Veterans of Internal Affairs of Almaty, Major General Retired Asyl-Kenei Sagynzhan Baybolovich.

In the end, the speech was given to veteran of the Committee of National Security of the Republic of Kazakhstan lieutenant-colonel retired, initiator and the only participant of the bicycle race Shayhov Abiltay Shayhovich . Abiltay Shayhovich thanked all the participants of the event, expressed his gratitude to all the organizers of the veterans-bike ride and at the end of his speech, said that he had the opportunity to meet with the country's people and tell them about the achievements of independent Kazakhstan.
