On September 29, 2017, the Almaty city court jointly with KGU "Kogamdyk kelisim" of the apparatus of the akim of Almaty city conducted a "round table" on the theme: "Features of national traditions in establishing consent in society. The role of ethno-cultural associations in the development of the institution of mediation".

The chairman of the Almaty city court N.Abdikanov, the director of KGU "Kogmady Kelisim" of the apparatus of Almaty akim Zh.Murunov, the chairman of the Almaty city bar association K.Karchegenov, director of the "Center for Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution" K. Oman, as well as judges of district and equivalent courts, lawyers, heads of ethno-cultural associations and the media.

The meeting was devoted to the development of the institute of alternative methods of dispute resolution, in particular conciliatory procedures.

It was also about the national traditions of the peoples living in Kazakhstan, which are the basis for the institution of reconciliation of the parties, participants in a conflict.

In his speech, the Chairman noted that the development of alternative methods for resolving conflicts should be regarded as one of the directions for the modernization of society.

The desire to simplify the proceedings by extending the scope of conciliatory procedures, above all, is aimed at protecting the interests of citizens of society. Particular attention was paid to mediation and participatory procedures.

At the end of the round table, in a solemn atmosphere, a memorandum of cooperation was signed.
