In the assembly hall of the House of Friendship, a famous event - the anniversary of the regional Jewish association "Merkaz". The center turned 25 years old. The guests of the anniversary event were the region's leadership, cities, chairmen of ethno-cultural associations, representatives of the Jewish center of Semipalatinsk and Pavlodar region.

An interesting concert program was organized for the guests and spectators of the holiday, as well as the history of the center's creation. Opened anniversary choreographic collective "Mazal" with a beautiful Kazakh dance "Shashu". The congratulatory speech was made by the head of the secretariat of the regional assembly of the people of Kazakhstan Zhetpysbaev Seisembay Kalizhanovich. He congratulated all the participants and members of the "Merkaz" center on his 25th birthday and wished him further success, and also held a ceremony of rewarding the active participants of the center.

In 1996, the national cultural center "Merkaz" became a member of the Association of Jewish Organizations of Kazakhstan "Mitsva". In this regard, congratulated the Center "Merkaz" came the president of the Association of Jewish communities of Kazakhstan, a member of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress Aleksandr Iosifovich Baron Kazakhstan.

1991 marks the beginning of a new page for the development of the Republic for all citizens of Kazakhstan, including for the Jewish community, because this year the Jewish National Cultural Center was founded, where they revived and preserved their traditions. In 1993 the center was officially registered. Since 1995, having joined the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, the center is working to preserve peace and harmony in our region.

The gathered remembered those people who stood at the origins of the organization of the community. This: Svechinskaya Faina Pavlovna - the chairman, who headed the national-cultural center "Merkaz" for more than 20 years! Leonid Shestak, Tatyana Lyubarskaya, Sofya Burshtein, Marat Dinershtein, and many others ... Although they are no longer there, but the memory of them is alive.

The names of Pavlodar people - representatives of this ethnos, who left an appreciable contribution to the development of the Pavlodar region are known to many. They took and continue to take the most active part in the formation of the economy, medicine, science and culture of Pavlodar prirtishie. Among them are Nachman Shafer, Grigory Gutnik, Lina Tarasula, Moses Krasnov, Valery Stupelman and others.

1997 year. One of the first creative groups of the center was a vocal trio consisting of: PGPliner, V.Karmanovsky, T.Slivinskaya. This team became an active participant in city and regional events, a propagandist of Jewish art in the Pavlodar region.

The highlight of the center is the choreographic collective "Mazal", which means "happiness" in Hebrew. The first choreographer of the collective was Alla Valeryevna Vyshutina, who now directs the team.

In September 2001, a synagogue was opened in Pavlodar. Rabbi Shmuel Karnaukh and his family came from Israel to help Pavlodar Jews study the Jewish tradition, teach Torah lessons to celebrate all the memorable dates of our people, national holidays. For 4 years, the chief rabbi of Pavlodar and Pavlodar region is Shimon Ash. He also made a welcoming speech, congratulating all the members of the "Merkaz" center on the anniversary.

In 2001, the youth club began to operate. Natalia Nefedova became the first youth leader. For many years, Natalia headed not only the youth association of the Jewish center, but also was the leader of the youth wing of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan.

Heads of ethnocultural associations of Pavlodar region came to congratulate on the stage. Everyone came to express gratitude for the work of the "Merkaz" center and gave souvenirs and diplomas as a souvenir.

In 2007, the female vocal group "Teibelah" was created, which in Yiddish means "Doves". The name of the team, among many options, was determined by Faina Pavlovna. The team is headed by Svetlana Aleksandrovna Minenko.

Since December 2014, and to this day the chairman of the center is Tatyana Semyonovna Slivinskaya. In her hard work, she actively helps, supports and embodies the ideas and plans of the council of ethno-cultural association, the Council of Elders, the Council of Mothers.

2015 is significant for the fact that a new vocal youth team "Anahnu" is being created. For such a short time, the guys became winners of regional, national and international festivals.

At the event, the atmosphere of the holiday reigned. This is of course, thanks not only to the organizers, but also to the speakers. On the stage, with their bright dances and songs of the audience, the choreographic ensemble "Mazal", the vocal collective "Anakhnu", the vocal group "Teibelah", the vocal studio "Tapuakh", Abdygomar Kanat and Dmitry Nazarenko. On the anniversary of friends also came from a nice Semipalatinsk. With them, they brought wonderful, creative gifts - in the form of unusual dances. Ended jubilee evening, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the ethnocultural association "Merkaz" beautiful song "Hava Nagila".
