August 5, 2016, Almaty the republican House of Friendship under the auspices of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan held republican campaign "Day of Mediation" and opened the doors to provide mediation services activity of the Republican House of Friendship RSU "Kogamdyk kelіsіm" under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The purpose of this event is to promote and develop activities of the ANC Mediation Institute, the development of the public culture on resolving disputes and conflicts in the pretrial order.

The event was held under the memorandum signed between the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by professional and non-professional mediators, representatives of mediation centers, Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, Public Consent members, the chairmen of national and urban ethnic and cultural associations, representatives of the RMS "Zharas", chairmen of district courts, the judge of the city court and retired judges, representatives of local executive agencies, non-governmental organizations and the media.

The moderator of the republican campaign "Day of Mediation" was the chairman of the Council of public consent at the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, Almaty – Lubov' Avgustovna.

A welcoming speech was delivered by Deputy Chairman of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan - Pitalenko Leonid.

On behalf of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, from Almaty Secretariat spoke Abdalieva Margarita Abubakirovna.

The role of mediation in the community and plans on development of mediation were discussed by the ANC: Mamsurov K.V., deputy chairman of the ANC Almaty, Asiev Sh., deputy chairman of the ethnocultural center "Akhyska", Chairman of the NGO " Kazakhstan Dungan society – "Kozhahanova G.A., appellate judge of the civil Division of the Almaty City Court, the coordinator of conciliation procedures – Kobeeva S.A., Director of the KSU "Kogamdyk kelіsіm" Akim of Almaty apparatus.

The ceremony of awarding professional mediators with the letters of thanks of the Secretariat and the ANC Almaty KSU "Kogamdyk kelіsіm" akim of Almaty was held.

In the framework of the republican campaign "Day of Mediation" in the Republican House of Friendship was held a meeting for Almaty citizens with  professional and non-professional mediators, consultating on various issues. Leaflets and flyers for participants were hanged out, indicating coordinates and helpline mediation office in order to inform population.

Including the media, on the grand opening came more than 90 people. On the reception of mediation office for consultations came 12 people, 2 of them with statements on debt and interpersonal conflict.

In order to improve skills in the prevention and resolution of disputes in the office for non-professional mediators was held a master class.

In order to develop and strengthen the institution of mediation participants were invited to intensify efforts in disseminating information to the public, as well as coordinate the interaction with legal institutions.
